Grupo Um, an experimental Brazilian jazz ensemble led by brothers Zé Eduardo Nazário and Lelo Nazario, emerged during a politically oppressive period in Brazil's military dictatorship. Their revolutionary recordings of the late 1970s and early 1980s represented a form of musical resistance against governmental censorship.
